"On an ordinary night... an extraordinary event occurred in Birmingham, Alabama. The Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center, at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, was a buzz with excitement as the magnificent sound of the 60-piece GGC Symphony Orchestra and hundred-voice mass choir filled the hall. Juanita Bynum and Jonathan Butler, two of the most gifted artists in music, took the stage to bring fans Gospel Goes Classical, an evening of praise, inspiration and encouragement."
I dont know about you, but I love J.Butler & Juanita Bynum, so I impulsivly ordered it. Has anyone heard it? Should I be pacing around my house in anticipation for it?

It is a disappointment that so many people have gotten away from a moral standard. Individuals are choosing to live by man and not by God. We cannot profess to be one way and behind closed doors we are living another way.
I can think of so many situations where this epidemic is disturbing. We as Christians must make a stand. The most recent incident I can think of personally is a situation where a truly blessed man who I will call D’ for short has been blessed with so many God given talents and opportunities is professing to be Godly. Producing music videos, PR, working for a large mega church ministry doing video production and working with so many great gospel artists. He makes women feel that he is a Godly man and that he is looking for the same. He lies to the woman by saying he would like a committed relationship and that he knows that he would like to spend the rest of his life with them, only to get what he wants or when he does not he moves on to the next victim. This person used the fact that he was a Godly man in his mid-forties and the fact that he is divorced, been hurt before and that he has too much to lose so he can gain your trust. I admit I am one of those women and that when I discussed the sex issue with him he told me I was being unrealistic to think that people our age should not be having sex. Then when I was not doing what he wanted I learned he had several women that he was playing with. He is living this way and not realizing the blessing that he has and how much better his life could be if only he lived right.
It is difficult in the dating world and just living day to day in such a world, which chooses to live by man and not by God.
As one post stated we must live by the entire bible, which it is written, and not by just part of the bible.

Re: I am not compromising my walk « Result #17 on Sept 17, 2005, 1:03pm »
Man, Oh man, now this is something to think about. I've often found myself trying to fit in with my friends of the world, so every now and then I'd go out with them, not to club, but to other places I know deep in my heart i do not belong. This happens in part because as a Christian young man, there isn't much for me to do outside of being in Church, and once a week is just isn't enough to fellowship with the saints of God. If church would open up their minds and pocket books, and create environment for the saints, more of us would be in the body and stay in the body of Christ without trying to fit in with the world.
I am not compromising my walk « Result #18 on Sept 16, 2005, 10:27pm »
The year is 1998, I began to hear the call of God leading me to a change of life. Coming from the party all night life and the lets do lunch or dinner life, or the club head, club security, music industry promoting lifestyle for so many years. I thank you lord for what you have done for a wretch like me! Thank you JESUS, party days are behind me and my praise days are here and now and for evermore, HALLELUJAH! Now today there are many promoters like myself that are lead to promote not only the gospel of JESUS CHRIST but an environment of praise and worship, corporate fellowship where the followers of CHRIST will be encouraged to lead through CHRIST, believers of CHRIST will be encouraged to live through CHRIST and unbelievers will be encouraged to seek JESUS CHRIST. I never thought I would see another day were I would be interested in hanging out anywhere that resembled the club or bar scene, but God allowed those experiences to now be used to bring glory to HIM. I know I am not alone when I say I enjoy an environment that has the HOLY SPIRIT as the host, in a wholesome setting, non threatening and not compromising to my walk with GOD, garnished with some good food for the mind, body and spirit, served with a touch of musical ministries for the soul and some poetry that creatively praises GOD. Now that is a menu to order from. I don't know about you, but I rather not be in the company of the wild temptations of SINdy or SINcere, when I can fellowship, praise and worship and party with JESUS, and not compromise my walk with GOD! AMEN. When you are not at [church] or at [home,] where do you go to have a good time?
